A remarkable testament to this dedication is his patient Gwen, who has been under his care for nearly 40 years. Their professional relationship began in 1982 when Gwen underwent gastric weight loss surgery, followed by a total gastrectomy in 1988.
Through Dr. Pharoah's expert surgical care and ongoing support, Gwen achieved extraordinary results, losing 200 pounds and reaching her goal weight by 1986—success she has maintained ever since. This long-term partnership exemplifies Dr. Pharoah's philosophy of comprehensive patient care that extends far beyond the operating room, demonstrating his dedication to his patients' lifelong health and well-being.
